Welcome to episode six of Activist #MMT. Today I talk with MMT podcast co-host and sixth year MMT activist, Patricia Natalia Pino. In this two-part episode (this is part two), Patricia and I talk about how she discovered a MMT and how Australian economist Bill Mitchell played a big role in that journey. We also discuss her opinions on the upcoming UK General Election and Brexit vote occurring on December 12, how the UK financed World War II and how that informs us regarding our fight against climate change, how the history of the NHS in the UK can help us in our fight for Medicare For All in the United States, and finally, she describes how MMT podcast came to be and how she met her co-host Christian Reilly.
Patricia and I met in person for the first time at a very loud bar on the first night of the September 2018, Second Annual International MMT Conference in New York City. It is such a treat to finally get to talk with her at length.
